How To Add and Complete an Ad Hoc Task
Note: This article is about how to add a one-off task. To add a Recurring Task, click here.
There are multiple options to help you add a Task. On the left below is an example from the Vessel View section. On the right, is another example, here you can click on the 'Tasks' button on the Home-port dashboard.


This is the Task section. There are two options that allow you to add a new task.
First option: At the top of the page, you can click 'Add Task'.

This will display a pop-up window. Select 'Create An Adhoc Task'

Second option: Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the black plus button.

Both of these options will open the Add Task page. Add details about the Task. There are a number of options below, please skip if not applicable for your vessel.
Apply Task To - This displays a list of Inventory Items
Task Description - Enter a Description of the task.
Task Priority - This changes the status regarding the importance of this task.
Engine hours or Equipment usages (ports), and Expires On - Please enter details, otherwise, skip these options.

Group Item To - To group your tasks into items
Add any Comments or Progress Notes, Work Order No. / Reference No., or Costings

Upload any attachments. Add a Start Date - which will be displayed in the Task Table. This can be a future date.
Select the name of the person who added the Task, and then choose if there is someone, in particular, you would like to assign this task to.

The last step is to select the overall status of a Task. This is designed to be changed as a Task is added, in review, if it gets put on hold, and most importantly when it is Completed.
Sign and save.

Your New Task has successfully saved to SeaLogs!

To complete an Adhoc task, click 'All Tasks' button at the top of the page.

At the top of the page, this will show you the summary of all your tasks - Adhoc and Recurring Tasks. To display only the list of Adhoc tasks, click 'AD HOC' from the Filter By option.

This will lead you to the Adhoc task page. For your convenience, you have the option to 'Filter By' your tasks. Click 'Edit' button to complete an Adhoc task.

Add Comments or Progress Notes for the Task.
Once you have successfully completed the Task, please click 'Completed' on the Status bar, sign, and save.
