    Logbook - Daily Checks

    in For Seafarers

The Voyage section of your logbook can include multiple tabs. In this article, we cover Daily Checks.

The Daily Checks section provides a general overview of the checks carried out on your vessel. Below is an example of a checklist:

In the above checklist, under Vessel Checks, the circle options follow a traffic light system:

    • Green = Good

    • Orange = Watching (an item you are keeping an eye on)

    • Red = Needs Attention

To leave comments, click the rectangular icon next to the green circle. Orange/Red checks and comments will automatically default through to the next log entry.

Checkpoints can be edited and customised to suit individual vessels and their activities. To create a new vessel check, add a comment and the name of the crew the comment was entered by, next click on CREATE NEW MAINTENANCE CHECK button.

After checking all points in the Vessel Checks section, you will need to log the weather forecast check, the time weather was checked, and other faults logged.

Click SAVE DAILY to complete and save daily checks.

*Note: The bottom save button SAVE ALL CHANGES is a shortcut to End of Day. It does save your logbook. However, if you select End of Day, this takes you to sign off for the day and close your logbook. Once you have closed your logbook for that day, you will not be able to enter any more information for that day.

All daily checks that have been saved are listed in the main menu > Reports > Daily Checks section. You will see a list of all daily checks as below.

*Note: Daily Checks report is a feature that is unlocked only if the Extended Reports add-on is activated in your subscription.

You can export this list into a CSV file by clicking the CSV icon.

If the Daily Checks list is too populated, you can filter the list by clicking the OPEN SEARCH FILTERS button.

You can filter your search by from/to log dates, by vessel, or a combination of these filters.

Then click on the SEARCH button to apply the filters.
