AI Terms of Use
SeaCompliance AI Beta Trial – Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your participation in the Beta Trial of SeaCompliance AI, SeaLogs’ GenAI-powered compliance assistant for maritime operators (the “Product”). Please read carefully. By using the Product, you agree to these Terms.
1. Background
These Terms are between you and SeaLogs Limited (“SeaLogs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
SeaLogs’ general [Terms of Use] and [Privacy Notice] also apply. If there is a conflict, these Beta Trial Terms take priority.
By joining the Beta Trial, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms for yourself and any organisation you represent.
2. Participation in the Beta Trial
To participate, you must:
-
Be at least 18 years old; and
-
Not be a director, officer, employee, or 5%+ shareholder in a business that directly competes with SeaLogs.
Participation is at our sole discretion. We may accept, suspend, or remove you at any time.
At this stage, you won’t be charged by SeaLogs for access to the Beta Trial (other than any existing SeaLogs subscription). SeaLogs has the right to review this, along with standard third-party charges (e.g. mobile data, SMS, etc).
We may change the scope, features, or duration of the Beta Trial at any time, or discontinue it without notice. You may opt out at any time by simply not using the SeaCompliance AI bot.
3. Nature of the Product
SeaCompliance AI is experimental and provided as in-development software. Please note:
-
You are interacting with an AI, not a human.
-
Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading.
-
Outputs may not be legal, technical, or regulatory advice.
-
The Product may change, fail to function, or be withdrawn without notice.
You must not rely on the Product for compliance or operational decisions. You remain fully responsible for your own compliance obligations.
Use of the Product is at your sole risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify SeaLogs against any losses arising from your use of the Product.
4. Your Obligations
By participating, you agree to:
-
Provide feedback to SeaLogs (e.g. problems, improvements, ideas) as requested;
-
Use the Product only for lawful testing and evaluation during the Beta Trial;
-
Not use the Product to train other AI systems or enable others to do so;
-
Not attempt to copy, disassemble, or reverse engineer the Product; and
-
Ensure the legality and accuracy of any information you input.
We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you breach these Terms or misuse the Product.
5. Feedback
We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive licence to use the Product during the Beta Trial for testing and feedback purposes only.
Any feedback you provide belongs to SeaLogs. You assign to us all rights in that feedback. If assignment is not legally possible, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use it.
We may record feedback sessions (including screen recordings) to improve the Product. Recordings will be deleted when no longer needed.
Please do not include third-party confidential information in your feedback.
6. Confidentiality
You may gain access to confidential information about the Product (e.g. features, designs, strategies, and test results). You must:
-
Keep it confidential.
-
Use it only for participation in the Beta Trial; and
-
Not share it without our prior written consent, unless required by law.
This Agreement does not grant you any ownership of confidential information.
You must not make public statements or posts (e.g. on social media or marketing materials) about the Product without our written approval.
7. Data
By using SeaCompliance AI, you agree that:
-
Purpose of Use
-
SeaLogs collects prompts, outputs, and related usage data (“Beta Data”) only to test, support, and improve the Product.

-
You are encouraged not to input sensitive personal data, confidential business information, or legally privileged material.

-
We do not sell, rent, or monetise your data.
-
-
Retention
-
Beta Data will be retained only as long as necessary for the Beta Trial and improvement of the Product, then anonymised or deleted.
